Ladies & Gentleman:

I have posted an article from The Milwaukee Journal/ Sentinel.

I also pasted it in an e mail to "Dish Network".

It states that "Fox Sports Net Wisconsin" is now the 19th regional sports network in the Fox Sports network group.

If any of you watched the "Brewers" game today, on Channel 444, you heard them mention it numerous times.

The point is, we are subjected to watching channel 436 as our Fox Sports net feed. As you all know its programming consists of Minnesota teams, which we rarely see, and if so, have no real interest in.

Bottom line!!!!!!!!. Please take the time to call and e mail them to get them to dedicate an alternate for our Wisconsin sports. I can guarantee you that we are missing quite a lot of programming.

There was an example of that today, when they suddenly cut the feed on the interview with Bill Hall, after the postgame had concluded.

The sollution is simple:

Simply drop 436 for Wisconsin subscribers, and dedicate one of the alternates as "Fox Sports net Wisconsin". That way we can set our favorites for one specific channel, instead of having to guess which alternate the games will be shown on.

In addition, this should have no adverse effect on the question of band width.

Thanking you in advance.

Fox Sports Net North is changing its name to Fox Sports Net Wisconsin effective Monday.

The announcement for the change is expected to be made Monday, the day the Milwaukee Brewers open their season against the Los Angeles Dodgers at Miller Park. FSN Wisconsin is to carry 125 Brewers games this season.

The network changed its name in order to "more closely reflect the Wisconsin market and the interests of its viewers," according to a spokesman for the cable regional, which currently is based in Minneapolis.

FSN Wisconsin becomes the 19th regional sports network in the Fox Sports Network group.

"With our extensive programming lineup. . . .relaunching the local network as FSN Wisconsin was a logical move," said Mike Dimond, vice president and general manager of FSN North and FSN Wisconsin.

Besides Brewers games, FSN Wisconsin is to become the exclusive home of Milwaukee Bucks games next season, airing 70 games as well as pre- and post-game Bucks shows. The network also carries Wisconsin Interscholastic Athletic Association (high schools) and Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (colleges) programming."

However, channel 642 is the designated alternate, so the Brewers/Bucks are always seen on that channel.

But yes, they should be pasting the article and sending it to "D", as well..........

I can't believe this is still a problem. I just switched to Dish today from TW and I can't believe (well maybe I can) that they still don't offer FSN Wisconsin. I can get FSN North but it is not the same as what TWC is showing on FSN at the same time.  While FSN on cable had Best Damn Sports Show, FSN North on Dish was giving me the message that I was being blacked out because of a Twins game. It is apparent that Dish is still showing FSN North and lighting up an alternate channel for Brewers games.

I sent them an email and I can bet the reponse will be:
"We at dish network strive to offer you the best availble programming... blah blah blah.."

I wonder if Katrina at Contact 6 can help ???

Yes, Why not paste and send this to her..........It can't hurt.

By the way, did you get the HD package?........If so. channel 386 is the Fox North HD channel. I watched the Giants game last Friday, and the Sunday game as well..........The picture was stunning, especially the blimp shots from above. The next scheduled games are Tuesday & Wednesday vs the Mets. Can't wait......

And no, I don't know which team gets priority if the Twins & Brewers have games on the same day, however the schedule  (http://msn.foxsports.com/name/HD#FSWisc )

does not show any conflicts. Hopefully, by next year, Dish will have the capability to have a dedicated channel fo FSN Wisconsin.

Yes. I did get the HD package. MUCH better than what Time Warner has to offer. 20 channels without counting any local channels. Locals come through perfect OTA so I've got somewhere around 30 HD channels to pick including one I get from across Lake Michigan like Fox 17.

I just switched to Dish and the ONLY complaint that I have is the FSN Wisconsin / North issue. I will never go back to TW, their lack of HD channels went on too long for me. The HD picture is great and I am loving the two room DVR, though it would be better if you could watch HD on the second set.
