Okay... I've made the decision to sell my TV since we're remodeling the basement and going with overhead projection. I hate to get rid of this guy... it's been a GREAT TV... but ya gotta do what ya gotta do.

Okay, let me see if I can sweeten the deal a bit. How about I throw in a Sony Wega 36" KV-36FV16 TV with stand for the same price? One TV for your rec room and one for the basement? Garage? Workshop? Bathroom?  :)

Both TV's are in "Like New" condition. The Mits has been professionally calibrated by the gentlemen that travels around the country doing calibrations. Our tour was organized here on the board... I can't remember his name. It wasn't Eli.

Anyway... let me know if this is any more interesting.

We are also remodeling our basemnet with two bedrooms and a rec room. I am trying to talk my wife into this deal, but she is resisting ....saying something about how the bathroom remodel is next, blah blah blah.

I will work her somemore, and let you know if things change....

Oh yeah, this sounds like exactly what you need for that!  :)

Seriously, as you know, this is good gear. You would be more than happy with it I'm sure. If you or her need to see the equipment, ti would be no problem to have you over to check it out.

Good luck with the battle.  :)

The Mits 65908 is gone. Loading it out the door as I type. The 36" Sony WEGA is still available at a good price of $250 if you are interested.

Congrats on your sale of the 65" Mits , Steve Mann.
I sold mine 30 months ago and I am told from the buyer that it is still going strong since I replaced it with a bigger set since.

If you ever get some pictures together of your new setup, give us some, if you don't mind!:)

BTW, what do watch for everyday when you aren't firing up the projector?

The reason I ask this is that bulb replacements for these front projectors cost more than a standard RPTV set and their lifetime rating is usually half from what I have read.:D

Thanks... It's a bittersweet moment. I loved that TV. Best picture I've seen on any HD set. Of any technology. I work with the guy that bought it, so I'll be able to keep tabs on it. It should have a long life left in it.

As for pictures... you bet. I'm going to be documenting it all on my blog as it all progresses. http://manntheater.blogspot.com

We don't watch but about 3-4 hours of TV a day. I calculated that to get us over 2 years a bulb. I think they go for about $300. Plus, with the proceeds we made of the Mits and Sony, we'll probably get a flat panel LCD for the living room.
