From Tim Cuprisin's blog:

"Months after the agreement between Sinclair Broadcasting and Time Warner, Milwaukee's Channels 18 and 24 will have their high-definition programming carried on Time Warner Cable in southeast Wisconsin on Channels 518 and 524 respectively.

The new channels launch Thursday."

OMG...this is either very true (and now I am waiting for the locust plague, the seas to part or something:) ) or this is a very late April Fool's Day joke.

I did notice something, however, in the TWC channel changes about analogue "Jewelry Channel" going away, replacing another already digitally-delivered, making it now channel 190...maybe this is where the HD channel availabilty is coming from?

While we're at it, TWC-Milwaukee, CinemaxHD and StarzHD would be good additions, too:

Can "we" (TWC) fit these FOUR in the one analogue channel spot?
Afterall, CW18 and MyNetwk24HD aren't always broadcasting in HD (but its great to be able to get their HD when it IS on).:D

Thanks, TWC, if that is happening!{fart}

Well, hell. What will I complain about now? ;) Oh, yeah, How about that because they dragged their heels on the whole thing, I never got to see "Veronica Mars" in HD (at least, not legitimately.)

How about making this the start of a trend towards adding new HD channels, huh, TWC?

Now I can watch reruns of Enterprise in HiDef...... now the SciFi channel to go HiDef next. (crosses fingers and toes)

The temperature in H*** is dropping.  Will TWC, by the time UVerse is available in Western Racine County, force me to actually rethink my TV options?  I just don't believe it.

This should've happened years ago. Talk about anticlimactic... now if they took this opportunity to also add some HD movie channels, that would be a nice splash.

gparris

Mark Strube: That's exactly my thinking.:)

CinemaxHD is TW's very own channel and along with StarzHD, very many locations throughout TWC have both of these HD channels.

Staten Island, NYC just started offering TMCHD (The Movie Channel HD), making five HD premiums available now.:D

You can now watch "Enterprise" in HD on HDNET (without commercials), but didn't know one of these local HD channels offered this show, too.

As for Sci-Fi HD (the channel coming in fall for Directv carriage), I don't think TWC locations will offer it unless the capacity is there.
So far, Staten Island, NYC is the probable place to start for more HD channel availablity since they removed a few dozen analogue channels recently and put them in the digital area-only, leaving subscribers to get STBs even for those "standard" cable channels.  Comcast Chicagoland is doing this now.

BTW, these two local HD channel additions mean that TWC - Milwaukee can finally "blow its horn", so to speak, that it actually DOES offer all the local HD channels, something they have wanted to do/attempted to do for years.:D

That's great to hear, it's about time too! Now I just need to find something to watch on those channels. ;)

Just checked our conference room and they are both on.

HOLY !@#I($&*@#*($&@#(*$&@#*($&@#(*$&  What a welcome suprise!

LoadStar

Yeah, I turned them on before I left for work today... it was a couple of breathtakingly dull infomercials on both channels, but they were definitely on as of 8:00 this morning.

Thanks, I just checked, too both are on...I also got Thursday night's two CWHD shows ready to record, too.:D

Jimboy: Are both Thursday nights shows broadcast/do you offer them in DD5.1?
Additionally, does anything coming up on MyNtwk24HD actually have anything to watch in HD (like maybe, shows and movies)?

The site does not make it clear, at least to me (with 24, not 18) can you advise please...thanks!
