How's WCGV/MyNetworkTV been doing in the ratings?

Is anyone actually watching the MyNetworkTV portion of WCGV's schedule? I bet their syndicated programing manages to go neck-and-neck with the MyNetworkTV stuff which is pretty sad.

Sorry, I haven't watched anything on WCGV or WVTV  for a long time, since they apparently don't care enough to actually get their digital signal to Time Warner customers... and I _refuse_ to watch them in SD.

(122 days and counting since the retransmission contract was signed... that's 122 days of a three year contract term simply flushed down the tubes. Money WELL spent, Time Warner. I applaud your fiscal responsibility. )

Do WCGV or WVTV air anything that you really need to see in HD though? It's mostly all sitcoms and talk show stuff, isn't it?

True enough, I suppose... the last show I watched on WVTV was canceled at the end of last season.

At this point, my irritation is at being a Time Warner customer forced to pay for a contract that isn't even being used, and because this is yet another in a long line of lies and broken promises from Time Warner. ("We'll add the channels as soon as possible." Yeah, right. Even if they had to INVENT the technology to get the channels onto the Time Warner network, it still should've been able to be done by now.)

It's also surprising that Sinclair doesn't seem to care at all about the situation... one would think they'd want to reach the most customers possible with the highest quality signal they can provide... but then again, this would require logical thought.

Well, if it's that important to you; talk with your wallet and cancel the cable service. That's what I'd do, anyawy. I think Time Warner's rates are insane as it is.

Sinclair doesn't care because MyNetWorkTV brings in the ratings of a test pattern, and there just aren't enough HD viewers to make it worth the time/money yet.

Unfortunately, TWC is my only "choice." I'm in an apartment and don't have anywhere in my 'exclusive domain' that has a clear southern exposure to put a satellite dish up, and U-Verse is neither available nor an acceptable alternative.

Ahh, one day I will move to someplace that has a southern view... that will be the day... *sigh*

Digital over-the-air antenna (indoor or outdoor)?

Sorry, I watch more cable programming than network programming these days. That's less of an option than U-Verse is.

I guess it just depends where your priorities are. I'm kind of in the same boat you are in that I watch a lot more cable than network stuff. Makes me wish we had real cable competition.

Supernatural (Thursday nights on 18) is one of the best looking HD shows on TV today.  Beyond just having higher resolution, the show has it's own look and feel that really contribute to the atmosphere of each episode.
