Different Strange Problem with TWC 8300HD

So here's what just started happening since last weekend.

Recorded HD shows play fine. When commercial time comes around, there audio drops out on most of the commercials. Dead silence..... The audio also disappears from some of the show previews as well. A few of the commercials still have audio.

There does not seem to be any logic to what type of commercial is affected (HD vs. non-HD) or the channel recorded, or the audio stream (dolby digital vs. standard).

This is a dream come true!!! Usually the audio is cranked way up on the commercials just to make sure we hear what they are paying for. But, what if the box is ready to crap out?

Is this happening to anyone else? No, I have not rebooted the box yet. I didn't want to screw up a good thing.
