Hardware problem preventing TWC from carrying more HD content?

I recieved this.  Has anyone heard about this?  My biggest gripe about TWC is there lack of HD or seeming interest in HD.  This could explain it....

I can't speak about other TWC offices, but in this area it has to do with the amount of programming that is actually in HD format.  I apologize for not being able to discuss in more detail at this time, but if you want to follow-up with me in the next couple of weeks, I should be able to provide you with an update.

Brenda,

Thank you for responding to my questions.  Other TWC companies around the country already are delivering 18 and 24 in HD to customers.  Why is Milwaukee TWC not carrying these channels?

Since when does it have something to do with the amount of HD programming that these stations air? Does the Sinclair My35 station in San Antonio air more HD programming from MyNetworktv than the Milwaukee station? I would think they air the same. Doesn't the content matter anymore? Everybody Hates Chris, Gilmore Girls, Veronica Mars, Smallville, Supernatural, Ujena Bikini Jam, MyNet Movies in HD, and anything else that comes along. With all of the reality shows in SD on the other networks, WHAT GIVES?
How is this area different? TWC Management!

What other excuses can TWC come up with for not adding the channels after a corporate contract has been signed?

100% LAME.  :bang:

920 area code? whats that for the green bay area? Because the main TWC office is in downtown Milwaukee so why would a VP of marketing have a 920 number. Doesnt sound too legit to me.

I heard from a little bird that, yes there will be more HD channels coming NOV'ish but switch video needs to free up some room first. MYnetwork and CW included and maybe Spice( LOL no joke) I really don't blame TWC, I mean ATT hasn't really threatened them all that much yet with their limited roll out, I doubt I'll see Uverse in the City of Milwaukee this year so I could give a hoot.

Kimberly, WI is a suburb of Appleton, so this person really wouldn't have any direct experience or knowledge of the Milwaukee franchise (hence why she couches her response with "I can't speak about other TWC offices...").

Sounds like you got a standard reply from some TWC office that had nothing to do with our Milwaukee location - and as always, completely "clueless".
Remember the TWC motto:
"Everyday is April Fool's Day", be it a letter or email, story at a kiosk or a phone call, okay?

They really ought to rename themselves to TMCCS:
Time Warner's Clueless Cable System...because it is.
Managers don't train, reps don't understand and they charge you plenty.
Why?
Because they are a monopoly.

She could easily work for this area but work out of her home office in Kimberly.  Happens often enough, but who knows.

I don't really care about getting 24 in HD as I don't think they air anything other than reruns of Frasier and Becker.  CW18 would be a nice addition though, regardless of just how many HD broadcasts they have.

The address listed is indeed a Time Warner facility, not a home office. Doing a Google search turns up multiple references to Time Warner "components" at that location, including this page:

(That's the NE Wisconsin Time Warner office web page. The address listed is the main office for Time Warner NE Wisconsin.)
