Anyone know when UVERSE is coming to Wauwatosa?

Is there a schedule anywhere. I am absolutely sick of TWC and there lack of HD along with high costs and garbage service.  Is there anywhere I can look at a rollout schedule for UVERSE?  Apparently it is not offered in my area yet.

AT&T refuses to disclose when and where they are rolling the service out (which had formerly been one of the sticking points in the negotiations between AT&T and the county and state). Pretty much the best way to find out is to register your info on the UVerse webpage and they'll contact you when it's available.

No, it's not from TWC Milwaukee (which refuses to add HD channels) .:bang:

This about AT&T U-Verse and its non-IPTV HD customers (it doesn't yet offer U-Verse from -using satellite services).

If you (can) get U-Verse and want to dump TWC Milwaukee, here's an incentive, HDTV set owners!;)

I called about Uverse when they launched in Milwaukee and they ran my address (Wauwatosa, 1 mile from 68th/maple terr telco building) and I am in the service area.

If you are unable to get it then its probably because you are too far from the nearest switching station rather than not being in their service area.  Given the bandwidth requirements, I assume you need to be pretty close.

At this time you need to be 2300 feet or less (wire resistance value) from the FTTN where the ports are assigned.  They hope to extend it to around 5000 feet by the end of the year with a technology upgrade.

AT&T is offering free HD channels per a note I posted in another thread, that is $10 off a month for their "Technology Fee" to get the 25+ HD channels, including all HD locals (except maybe PBS HD).:D

Good time to switch if you can do it!

????
I am on 60th and Wells street, a few blocks from that telco, and it is not yet available in this area. I have talked to two different sales people, and I am signed up for whan it does become available.
If you have information that is different than mine..please let me know !!!

Wow, thats strange, I just drove past a house on 65th/vista which had one of those uverse yard signs.  60th/wells should be about the same distance or closer to the 68th/maple terr station.  My only guess is that you are serviced from a different switching station.

Make sure that they have your address correct in their system.  At first, they told me that mine was not available, but it was because their address in the system did not match the US Postal Service address.  Once they looked into it, they saw that it indeed was available for me.  Granted, I'm on the other side of Tosa (114th near North Ave).
