Suddenly my HMDI doesn't work? I have had it hooked up for a month and it worked fine. I got this error a week ago and I rebooted the box. It worked fine!

TW, 8300HD, Olevia LT30HV, was hooked up via DVI-D (with HMDI adapter).

ANY IDEAS???

WHY DID IT HAVE TO DO THIS BEFORE THE BADGERS GAME????

Probably the same update that fixed the daylight savings updated the HDMI drivers on the box. Maybe it made it incomparable with you TV, did you check the olevia site to see if they had a firmwear update?

(mini rant)
IMO HDMI is stupid anyways. People write companies 5 page letters because their TV isnt compatable via HDMI with a box, why is that the SAT/Cable comapnies fault?

How do you have your HDTV hooked up? IMO HDMI looks the best.

It may be the TV... just can't figure out what changed since everything worked fine up until today.

HDMI can make a pretty big difference on extremely large displays, especially front projectors. Also, at this point, if you know how to shop for cables... you can get a very long HDMI cable (which gives you perfect lossless quality) for less than half the price of a component cable of high enough quality to be without analog interference and signal loss. (And if you're trying to run that HD component signal through a receiver, that's another bag of worms.) I hate the copy protection, but I'm a pretty big proponent of HDMI.

And yes, I would 2nd LowSignal's suggestion... I believe Olevia is one of those brands that makes software updates available. Does your TV have a USB port?
