Has anyone noticed that channels 4,6,8,10,12 as well as 504,505,506,512 when using TWC 8300 box are not nearly as loud(I have to crank the volume way up)as the rest of the channels (like FX, or comedy central or especially channels 5,7, or 9 out of Chicago) these channels seem extremely loud.  It seems to have started on or about last Friday, the 9th. Anyone else notice this, or do I just happen to have two bad boxes all of the sudden?:bang:

not sure how recent that is....but i just got the 8300 on sunday, and the locals are louder on OTA then from the box.

I only noticed it during 24 on Monday night. I normally have my volume around 12 or 13, during 24 I had to get it up near 30.

I totally agree with you, I thought I was losing it, but I really noticed in on 24 and then last night on American Idol.  Anyone have any ideas?

Just another ME TOO!!! Been about 5-6 days I think and seems especially pronounced on 506.

Are you guys using analog stereo from the cable box to your televisions? Or are you all using digital receivers?

I'm using a digital receiver, and I haven't noticed too much of an issue myself. In fact most of the time I have to turn it up to 45 for shows on FOX or NBC, which is kind of high for my receiver.

I have noticed this as well. I thought maybe I just wrecked my ears over the weekend.

Another "me too" over here.  I'm using digital audio connections on two different rigs and sound levels are down on both (noticed during '24' too).

So...I am not the only one with this situation.

I have checked my box for audio out settings and everything has remained the same, its just the audio levels from the networks, I guess.
The exception being is with CBSHD (when CBS58 isn't screwing with it like last night's "Jericho"), it comes it a good deal louder because CBS does it differently than the other HD networks.
