I've never seen dots when viewing OTA (I'll make it a point to stop blinking). Is this perhaps a DVR issue? Those that mentioned they captured it via DVR are you all using the same DVR? Curious....

I'm using an SA8300HD DVR but I've only seen the white dots during two episodes of '24' and maybe during 'Bones' but I'm not positive about 'Bones'.  I DVR things daily and haven't had this "problem" with any other shows so I'm guessing it's not a DVR issue.

They're different, and constant, especially in darker scenes. They're small white speckles, and I think the fact that I'm watching on a 50" 1080p set doesn't help gloss over the problem too much.

Direct from OTA or through the DVR?  DVR meaning live or pre-recorded.

I've seen this thru the OTA tuner on my set, and live cable, and recorded cable. I've even been able to see it thru the HD tuner on my PC. But only on NBC.

I too have a 1080p 50 inch set, so I will take a closer look at my NBC shows.  It also doesn't seem like a DVR issue for me as I only have seen this on Fox.  I record tons of stuff too...

Congratulations!  That's quite a milestone.

I'm not sure if there is something wrong over here or not.

I have not noticed any of the "problems" described or shown on any channel either OTA or  DTV.

With Fox6 in the past I've had to switch to the NY feed because of audio problems.  Thankfully those seem to have been remedied.

I watch House, Bones and AI  every week.  Nothing on the Daytona 500 either.
