Anyone else having 006-1 problems?

For the last week or so, my FOX 006-1 has been pixelating, freezing and losing signal. This has only been happening occasionally. Usually late afternoon 4-6pm. Anyone else been experiencing this or is FOX doing some maintenance or upgrades? PS. I live in Franklin.

Heynow

I am having the same issue with my DTV 10-250 with the 6.3b update. I am hoping that fox6 is doing something to cause the problem, and it is not another problem with my software.

I have also noticed some problems with the signal on 006-01 over the last few weeks. Last night I could not watch it due to having a 97 signal then every 5 seconds or so it drops to no signal. It then comes back to an upper 90 then drops again.  Been having to use analog :( . Anyone know if Fox is aware of this happening.

I have had the same issues for the last 2 nights...I have a Dish VIP 622... It seems to me this must be a Fox 6 issue...

Didn't see (or hear) any problems during Idol or House on Tuesday (OTA).
USDIGITAL Receiver.

House and Idol were both unwatchable on 6-1 Tue night and Wed night tried to watch Idol and again signal from 98 for 20 seconds then out of nowhere it drops off the chart then comes back to 98 or 99 again.

I had the same problems during House and Idol.

I switched to Fox NY Ch.88.  The problems were there also although not quite as bad.

So, it appears it may be a network issue.

We'll see

Exactly the same problems and timing in New Berlin, with zero problems on other terrestrials.  A friend in Hartland also reports identical symptoms.

Problem also reported by a customer of mine in Cedar Grove.  All other channles have been fine.

Will watch FOX 6 the next few nights and report from Oostburg what is happening
from here.

Brad,

That would be me you're referring to    I still have the same issue.  I sent an email to Fox6 alerting them of the issue that is still there.

I'll report back here if I hear anything from them.

After a week of nonstop dropouts, I radically reoriented my antenna and  the problem  has totally disappeared.

From New Berlin, my original azimuth was basically northeast.  I rotated toward the north and continued about 270 degrees.  I'm now pointed esentially southeast (about 90 degrees off what it should be) but dropouts have completely disappeared.  Displayed signal strength dropped from 98 to 72-74, which is typical of the other Milwaukee channels.  I'm not happy about that, but hopefully this is an interim step.

In any event, it doesn't sound like a problem at WITI.

Same problem here in Pewaukee.  I rotated my antenna from due east to north-north-east & the problem is lessened, but not completely cured.  :(

I've been fighting the same thing too.  My antenna is pointed basicially due east and all local OTA channels are fine, except 6-1.  I move  the antenna more north, I get 6-1 better, but now my other channels suffer.  I'm in Tosa.

From another post they are apparently working on the problem.
Had changed to a new piece of equipment when the trouble started and are now
switching back to the old one.

Let us see what happens.

Hi Wiebs:rock:

Hey Brad, thanks for the heads up.  I'll leave my antenna the way it is for now but with hopes they resolve this issue.  It stinks not having Fox6 in HD!

I never heard back from them in regards to this either.  You'd think they would take a second to at least inform a viewer that they're working on the problem! :bang:

Keep me posted if you find anything else out!  (benwieb at gmail.com)  :guitar:
