I have a Pace DC551pf (I believe is the model) hooked up to my HD70. Before I got this box I used my 8300 box on this projector for a few days till the next box came. Now with the 8300 I could switch between hi def channels without any problems. With this new pace box also hooked up with hdmi anytime I go between hi def channels it goes to searching for signal, finds it for a second then shows an all jumbled up garbled picture. I can hit guide, then exit guide and normally it will show the picture then. Today during the game I noticed that , that method only worked after 3 or 4 tries, then I got the picture back. Also after trying to just channel up and down between the two games, i would do the guide then exit trick and after a few times of that, then I could channel between the Nascar race and one NFL game, but when I channeled up to the Packer game, the picture still crapped out. So after that rambling, any idea's or what do I need to check?? With both boxes I used hdmi so there shouldn't be any video settings to check and it did work fine with the other 8300 box I had.

From what I've heard and experienced myself, peoples' experiences with the Pace boxes are either REALLY good (in my case), or REALLY bad. I'd go to the TWC office and ask for a Scientific Atlanta HD box (non-DVR). Those seem to be the most universally problem-free boxes (of course not 100%). The Pioneer HD boxes have their own set of issues and are typically horribly slow.

If you still have problems after that, give Component cables a shot. If there's STILL a problem with Component on a 3250HD, then it's probably your cable signal, and you should call a tech.

Try setting the box to only output 720p or 1080i (whichever you prefer) so it doesn't have to switch resolutions between channel changes.

i'll look at the box again tonight. I remember when I was setting it up, it said that with hdmi I couldn't change any of the video settings.

We just got a 50" Panasonic with a Pace box here at work. We are still having the same problems noted above. The picture scrambles when flipping between digital and HD channels and the only "fix" is to bring up the guide and then close it. I was going to change the output resolution to 720p but a note came up that said I cannot choose the resolution when using HDMI or DVI cables. Has anyone come up with another solution??
