HD->SD box?

Another question -- does anyone know of a good source for a box that will downconvert HD to SD?  I'd like to be able to send a SD version of what I'm watching in HD into my home Channel Plus distribution system.  I don't need anything fancy, just a simple down-conversion.

Composite cable from the box?  I think some of TWC's boxes can output both from composite and an HD source at the same time.

My Samsung SIR-T151 keeps the SD outputs alive at the same time as the HD outputs.  It is an older generation OTA only box.  You could probably pick up a used one for next to nothing these days.

Also confirm here, that Dish receivers output composite, RF, s-video, component, HDMI signals at the same time. So you can feed SD downconverted signal to your Channel Plus distribution system.

I've used the Hd300 in the past and now am using the 8300 DVR and using the composite output to feed a 2.4ghz transmitter to the other tv's in the house so I don't have to pay for extra boxes.  It's always worked for me to watch anything including recorded shows to the 3 tv's in the house that don't have cable boxes.
