I've noticed something that upsets me about the 8300.  It seems like it's cropping the picture slightly.  By looking at the bugs in the corners (esp. ABC) it seems like the sides are cut off slightly.  The 3250 looks identical to the OTA picture, but when I go between OTA and the 8300, the OTA is more of a picture.  Anyone else notice this?

I have not noticed this myself.  Are you using the same TV input and just switching the cable?  Do you have any zoom mode set for the 8300 input?
