Guess you'll have to take it off the home page listing... Is that why 55-2 is now QUBO?

Quote from: SRW1000;36831I will be one of those that misses the Tube, since they were my only outlet for actual music videos from the days I remember.

Considering some of the "programming" that passes for E/I content, couldn't the Tube's programming be considered E/I?  "Hey kids, look at what used to pass for music television back when your parents were growing up!"  Sounds like a good history lesson to me. :D

It looked like the encoding had just been improved lately, too.  I didn't see as much pixelization recently during fast-moving scenes.

They should licensed the old  "Schoolhouse Rock" videos.

I had forgotton about those old Schoolhouse Rock videos, they were pretty cool. Another song that I liked was the theme for Lance Link - Secret Chimp, It was "Evolution Revolution" or something like that.:guitar: Badger

Saw a link to this Yahoo Business article posted on the AVS forum discussion about The Tube.

Is there more to the story than just the additional E/I requirements?

QuoteOn November 30, 2006, Sinclair notified the Company that Sinclair was terminating, effective December 30, 2006, the Affiliation Agreement of March 20, 2006 as a result of the Company's breach of its obligations under the Agreement.

Quote from: Jimboy;36818Due to new FCC regulations regarding multicast sub-channels The Tube will be dropped from 24-2.

I will also miss The Tube.  I know Comcast carries it.  I'm sure TWC won't.
