I got the following email for TWC out of Albany NY, anyone know if we are getting these also?

'Tis the season to give, so Time Warner Cable is giving you more channels.

This week we are launching the following channels:

LOGO (assigned to digital cable channel 447)
ESPN2HD (ch. 1870)
A&E HD (ch. 1838)
MTV HD (ch. 1840)
Free Movies On Demand (ch. 1011)
International Movies On Demand (ch. 1012)
In addition, PBS On Demand is moving from channel 1017 to channel 1007. HBO On Demand is moving from 1015 to 1019; HBO On Demand is also available on channel 700.

ESPN2 HD is another outlet in what has become a flourishing franchise for ESPN, what was in the 1980s a regional Connecticut cable network on a two-lane back road in Bristol, Ct.

ESPN2HD provides sports fans with even more HD sports programming.

LOGO is the first full-service 24/7 television entertainment channel for gays and lesbians. LOGO's innovative originals, movies, documentaries and specials reflect the diversity of the gay experience and appeal to a broad range of gay and non-gay viewers, friends and family.

TWC varies from location to location as you know, so getting anything more in HD channel additions is strickly up to the local bosses here in the Wisconsin region...we're no Albany, NY.

IF we were even NYC, most of Texas or even California TWC, we would have had CinemaxHD and StarzHD by now, but we don't.:(

Even though TWC corporate may have signed agreements to carry all the Viacom channels, which meant to include ALL of them (including LOGO), we still do not have MHD (MTV, CMT, etc in HD) here.

Either we have a bandwidth issue or uncaring TWC local bosses here, IMO, (or both) as to why we have had no additions to our TWC HD channel lineups vs. other locations in the country, sad.

As far as the channel ESPN2HD, it is carried due to (assumption) the Adelphia/Comcast/TWC mixes within the area...not because of any national agreements I know or have read of.

(We can dream, eh?)

TWC HD channel lineup is pathetic.  I have had an HDTV for two years now and we get hardly any HD channels.  I really wish that there were competing cable networks as I do believe that competition can drive inovation and speed to market for new products.

Yes, our "wonderful" TWC local system is still lacking CinemaxHD and StarzHD, unlike many other TWC locations in the country...original TWC locations, not part of some Adelphia or Comcast takeover.

Other locations have added A&EHD and MHD (MTV, CMT, etc. in HD), too, but NOTHING was added here.

My guess is that the TWC bosses here, ones that make the "big decisions" about HD channel additions, do not feel anymore HD channels are necessary or warranted at this time...I am hoping this is not the case.

Universal HD was added early last year at the time of the Winter Olympics, yet you would never know it from the local-channel dropdowns, locally...still missing!

This channel is available in most, if not all, TWC systems/regions by now, so as the other four were and have been added, Wisconsin is left without anything new...very sad.:(
