Now if we can just get them them to put all Bucks/Brewers games in HD we'll be all set.

I guess I am now a FORMER Bucks fan. If they want to alienate the people in the greater Milwaukee area, this is the way to do it!

At this point, I suspect that the number of people who only receive broadcast television is incredibly low. I don't think this is a big deal at all. Personally, I've always thought that the FSN production quality is a little higher than that of the WCGV games... it's a little more polished, a little more professional.

Plus, couple this with FSN's announcement that they're supposedly greatly increasing the number of HD games, and you have a good thing.

According to the latest report by the National Cable and Telecommunications Association, cable TV is in 66.3% of households with TVs. While this is a majority, it still alienates a large segment of the population with TVs.

When free OTA TV is no longer profitable, I'm sure that it will dissapear. Then watch your cable rates go up!

I feel the Bucks have tuned us out in Green Bay and other markets outside of Milwaukee for years.  We don't have any local stations that carry them. I had lost interest over the years. At least now I will get to see them more on Directv. Having the Brewers on FSN more often is even more awesome. Thank you FSN. Now let's get those classic Brewer games on!

According to this letter from the Consumer Electronics Association from 2005:
QuoteOf the nearly 110 million American homes with at least one TV, 68% receive a cable signal and 22% receive a DBS signal. Our research shows that roughly 3% receive both cable and DBS. In total, 87% of American homes will have access to cable or satellite (and thus network and local feeds).

So, yeah, 13% of TV viewers would be among those "alienated..." not exactly a large segment of the TV viewing population... and of those, it's relatively unclear how many of those were even Bucks viewers.

I find the problem with Bucks and not with Ch. 24 or FSN. The way they are playing nobody will be interested to watch them.
Look at Badgers today, they were on Espn and not in HD but they played fantastic and it was fun to watch.

I believe the reason the BUCKS like the BREWER, games moved away from broadcast television, was that the  TV ratings were not high enough to justify the high rights fees paid, to recover from OTA advertisers. They rarther soak the cable subscribers.
