I got ripped off on an ebay purchace buying a Motorola HDT 100 OTA tuner. I received the tuner, but the remote, power cord, and some other things were missing. So, if anyone happens to have one, I would really appreciate being able to program my MX 500 with your remote. The tuner powers up (luckily it uses a standard computer 120V power cord), but I cant do anything without the remote. I have already tried the motorola pre-programs in the MX-500, none of which work.

Thanks in advance,
Mark

Some of the newer programmable replacement remotes allow you to go into a find mode...where the unit keeps sending off commands and when the unit turns off you hit a control button.  This might help you in a pinch as there may be one out there that works.

By the way, if the seller had posted a picture or description that showed the remote and power cable, you have basis for a claim against him on EBay....good luck.

I spent almost 2 months dealing with paypal in the claims dept. Paypal is just as much of a scam. I have a folder of probably 60 emails from them. A tax audit may be less painful. I slipped up at one point of the procedings, sent something 1 day too late, and they completely dropped the case. What sucks is that I spent a lot of time with the local police dept. which was very helpful. Oh well, I would rather forget about that.

Anyway, need to explore that option a bit more with my remote...

Gregg, didn't you have a tuner for sale? PM if it is still avail.

Actually my only contact with them was a year ago, that the vendor said they ship same day and the product didn't arrive after 3 weeks and my emails to them went unanswered.  Paypal within 3 days responded that they also didn't get a response from the vendor and they debitted them the amount and put it back in my account.  Which they did, however the next day the product arrived and I contacted PayPal and their response was:  "Keep the Money and the Product".  Which I did and never heard from the vendor.  I reordered from the vendor again about a year later and everything shipped timely and no questions asked.
