DirecTV channel 95 HD

Didn't know I would be receiving this for free.  49'rs @ Seattle tonight.  Also saw replays on Tues. and Wed. of the last weekend games.  Nice to have another HD channel and get looks at other football stadiums in HD.  Listed as the NFL Channel but I don't remeber it being announced or talked about here...

Unless there's some sort of embargo that prevents home market games from being shown on that channel, that's where the Packers Vikings game will be on Thursday night.

I was watching the the night game on the only NFL channel that was listed (212) on Thanksgiving, and thought it looked awfully yucky for HD, so I just started scrolling through the channels till I found this accidentally.

95 isn't on the TitanTV guide, and I couldn't even find it when I used the on-air program guide for next Thursday night.

The bad news is my receiver is not showing it as Dolby... anyone else seeing anything different?

Ch. 95 also gets some NHL games, it seems ... might be kind of a catch-all channel. I also saw PPV of Over the Hedge listed there.

Enjoying my four months free ... Hopefully more HD channels to come soon; not sure if it'd be worth the $10 a month or not.

ch 95 usually just pops up a few hours before gametime for most events.  It also has the NFL game of the week replay as well as some other HD sporting events.   I think the NBA league pass HD games are on that channel also.  I have even seen the bucks/brewers games on ch 95 on very rare occasions.

Channel 95 on DTV is there special HD events channel.

You will find things like boxing PPV & NFL Network games on there. Also some Hockey, Baseball & Basketball games. IF you have the sports subscription to those games.

Channel 95 activates the game broadcast right at game time.

If your so inclined, you watch the pre-game on 212 and the game on 95 post game on 212.

One thing I don't get, Why is the halftime show and highlights shown 4:3 on 95's HD broadcast?

Not complaining just wondering.
