Quote from: btbrossard;37063Both channels came back on for me tonight.

Now when the cable guy comes Wednesday, he'll look at me like I'm stupid.
I doubt the tech will look at you strangely; but I would ask him/her to do a sanity-check on your system---why waste the trip?   :)

A perfect picture in the digital environment is not indicative that problems do not exist.  Circuitry in all digital paths (Internet, digital cable, digital satellite & off-air ATSC) all have some ability to correct transmission errors.  When the threshold to correct them is exceeded, things get noticeably bad by the end user(s).

My channels of HDNET/HDNET Movies, after a day of not having them both work, I just got just a blank screen....then it worked later that night...happens often.
I honestly think no one else notices this unless they record or actually watch these channels and it happens often for everyone.
Many times, I get channel "0" for the other channel in the PIP function, unless I change it to another channel (or it reboots).
Other times (many times) when I am on an HD channel that I am playing back, the box reverts to channel "1" when I check the channel grid, even though my startup channel is 541 (and this is the other channel in PIP).
Now, my signal is good, as I just had a TWC tech over and everything checked out...sorry mhz40.:D

As far as TWC-Wisconsin goes, they offer a cableTV service, take it or leave it.

My particular location screams cable service or a satellite delivery service which would include local HD like my neighbours in Illinois have, (they have 5 HD locals enough for me vs. our lousy MKE DMA of 3).

But all we get from TWC Wisconsin:
-Is an increase in service fees.
-No HD channel additions unlike most other TWC areas, (very sad).
-Switched Digital Video is still not yet happening, unlike some other TWC areas it seems from I have read.
-Digital copy of analogue channels (remember that?) is still not available via cable box, despite the fact it was supposed to have occurred awhile ago (my understanding...October?)
-"Navigator" sounds like a bad joke, according to avsforum user reports, so TWC can keep it, as I assume if we EVER get it, then if we do, it will probably be worse than what we have, now.

TWC-Wisconsin is a sad entity, IMO, vs. some other TWC locations I have witnessed firsthand in my travels:
Clean up your act!

Point is: Can you really believe anything TWC will say when they "troubleshoot" your home system?

I noticed the HDnet/HDnet Movies were gone sometime after 5am on Sunday morning.  I would have posted sooner but my Road Runner connection has taken a dive the last two nights.  Thanks TW.

I have often had problems with this channel breaking up...seems it happens every few days. It's usually the same tier of channels that have it all at the same time...HDNET, InHD, etc. They're pretty much unwatchable during this time.
