WISN HDTV/WTMJ radio timing

I noticed during last nights Packers/Seahawks game that WTMJ's radio broadcast was a full 5 seconds ahead of WISN(12)'s OTA DTV broadcast.  I guess I set myself up for this after I praised WTMJ(am620) for syncing this seasons broadcasts so well with the OTA DTV signals of channels 6 and 58 in Gregg's "Go Pack" thread.
My guess is Time Warner cable manipulated their signal (probably ESPN's) in a way that got it out faster and WTMJ synced the broadcast with them.  Was anyone else paying attention to this?

My guess is 12 was behind because it wasn't an actual OTA broadcast.  The feed came from ESPN HD.

12's broadcast was about 5 seconds behind ESPNHD's on Time Warner.

In a world of multiple satellite hops and mpeg encoders, nothing is 'live' anymore.

"12's broadcast was about 5 seconds behind ESPNHD's on Time Warner."

It sounds like HD channel 12 on Time Warner and OTA were likely identical in terms of broadcast delay to ESPN.   Wouldn't it make more sense for WTMJ radio to sync their signal to the local telecast and not the national one?  They could avoid excluding people without digital cable.

They should just get rid of the Sunday & Monday announcers and just give us sounds from the field.
