My latest TWC bill confirms that INHD2 will merge into INHD on 12/28/06. Nothing about a rate reduction for loss of a HD channel. :bang: :bang: :bang:

Yeah, already being discussed in the thread just below, comparing the HD offerings from TWC to those on Comcast. :(

So I called TWC to see what was replacing INHD2 and why the rates were going up since we are losing a channel.  The customer service rep said there is nothing set to replace it and the reason for the rate increase was due to the increase in gas prices.  Maybe we should look into a Hybrid Cable company!:bang:

Quoteincrease in gas prices.

I can understand how gas prices might factor into an installation,  but wonder how that relates to regular cable broadcast costs.

Well, the good news there is that once the gas prices drop, then the cable rates will go down then?

It would happen if the government would allow true competition.

Oh wait... You're it will never happen. ;)

What really gets me is that I can use whatever home phone service I want over the telephone wire that comes into my house, but I am forced to use TWC over the cable TV wire that comes into my house. If competition is working for the phone industry why wouldn't it work for cable TV as well?

I agree, but until we get a real competitor, and I'm not talking about those fool commercials we see all time from AT&T, I mean a real honest Cable company, we are gonna continue to be stuck with limited choice, and high prices.
