Would you rather have good audio or HDTV?

Gregg Lengling

I want both....I've got a more expensive sound system than my TV...good audio costs more.

So is everyone getting the frequent several-second sound drop outs that I am?

I get a pixelization, then no sound, and then another pixelization and the sound comes back.

Nope the game was perfect (watched about 50 per cent of it) and I noticed no video or sound dropouts.

Crud... OK, then it must be my signal strength... 68 with an occasional 71 is the best I can get up here. Looks like the peridoic drop to the 50's is the culprit.

Will an amplifier on my Double Bow Tie help, or do I need a better antenna now?

How much cable you running from antenna to tv....splitters ect...if lots then yes a line amp (good one) would be in order.  If short run then preamp would be.

If you are using the HR10-250, like me, you'll get the drop outs and break-ups. My TV's HD tuner has no trouble with Fox.

I was hoping I wasn't the only one seeing/hearing this.  It finally stopped at around 4pm and hasn't happened since.   My signal strength is and has always been 93-100.

I had none of the above problems on TWC HD during the Packer game; but the Steeler game is another story.  Audio in and out, pic freezing, just crap.... :bang:

jpfieber

I had the same thing with TWC, Packer game was fine, and then the second game was terrible. Pixilating, sound going out, I had to change the channel it was so bad.

StarvingForHDTV

I had mild short pixelation with short audio drops.  I looked at my signal strength and the meter didn't budge.  I thought Fox 6 was having a problem with their satellite HD feed.  Hmmm.

It is always nice to beat the Vikings!

sp44again

I was getting dropouts with the HR20-700 HD DVR also.

Blitzburgh

Did not see the Packers game but the Steelers game the audio sucked. So I watched in HD on NFL ST and it was all good.

HMMM...

I was ready to crawl up on the roof and check my antenna connections. (Still might)

Same problems with the Packer game. Switched to the NASCAR race and it seemed to go away.
