Wow some strong opinions, as a HD subscriber with TWC thinking of switching to Dish I am getting confused   :bang:

Quote from: Blitzburgh;35810I give up. If you think Dish is the future you really are blind. Do some research.

Dish's 29 and counting. All junk.

The VOOM stuff is garbage and most people who get the those channels and do not even watch them.

If you do your home wrok you will see that by the end of next year DTV will be the KING of HD.

Not for me:wave:

robster1970

That's why I got rid of Dish. Most of the Voom channels are junk, I hardly watched any of them. I would rather have more national cable or new hd channels when they come out. Directv is going to have more capacity after the new satellites are launched than anybody else. You have to remember this is new. So there is not much hd out there now. I would rather wait and have it done right, voom junk doesn't do it for me.

Mark Strube

Wow so I guess somehow launching more satellites = more 'real' HD content? I'm not saying there won't be - but these are all assumptions... and we all know what you make of yourselves when those are made. ;)

robster1970

So I guess there will be no new hd channels? So I  guess you assume dish will always be the leader?  More power to whoever is. I don't see why things need to get heated though. Competition is good.

Mark Strube

Again - this entire "debate" is based on assumptions and promises which are always broken by all the different providers. Where did I say that Dish would always be the leader? All I've said is that at the moment it does have the most HD available.

If this pointless debate goes on much longer or any more words get put in my mouth, I'm locking this thread.

robster1970

Funny. I say let the debate go on. Isn't that what democracy is all about? I'm not upset. I like to hear other peoples opinions.

Mark Strube

Well I say you need to read the forum rules... this is not a democracy.

Okay here's another thread that has gone too far...so let's end it...if you want to know what providers provide what, but we won't have bashing.

So thread closed.
