Watching the WS game.. and getting quite a few audio drops on OTA.. anyone else experiencing this?

bimmer_immer

Was this using the HR10-250?
Did it get the 6.3a upgrade recently?
If so, it is a known problem introduced by the latest TiVO s/w.

OTA, particularly FOX, channels apparently experinence an approx 10 sec audio dropout followed by a brief video glitch (this can be hard to see).
Directv knows about it. There is supposedly "6.3b" fix in the works.
The Tivo community forum has more info:

Well, this sucks - I watch FOX a lot.

Why in the world would they still put through the upgrade when it has this major flaw in it?  There was nothing wrong with the TIVO operation pre upgrade!

And I have yet to see anything positive that this upgrade gave me.....

Mags -- You, I, and several thousand others have the same questions.

Though there are some benefits to 6.3:
Station logos in Now Playing
Groups in Now Playing (Hit the "2" key)
Much snappier in general -- for example, when doing season pass adds/deletes.
Much expanded info, including record date/time.

Heynow

I have the same audio issue with Fox6 OTA. I am trying to watch the Packer game, and the audio drops out for approx 10 seconds, and then is followed by a quick pixelation on the screen.

Does anyone know what can be done to fix this? Or do we all have to wait till the next release.

This SUX

The were audio drops at the beginning of the game, but I have not noticed any after the first quarter.

The PQ of today's game is excellent.

Only watched the second half and had no drop outs....their 5.1 still sucks...no surround all the crowd noise is in with the announcers...very had to hear them when the crowd is loud.
