But HD Video Seen as Growing Over Next Decade
Emerging high-definition formats are shaking up the marketplace, according to Kagan Research's 11th annual State of Home Video research study, which the company released this week. Among the findings: Home video revenue will drop again this year, down .4 percent to $7.2 billion, and the format war between HD DVD and Blu-ray might make things worse.

Nice article, thank you.

Channel 4 recently did a HD DVD & Bluray 5-minute segment on their late news, although it was more intelligently done than what FOX6 did (including what they did with our own forum member and almost me), it still was incomplete.
It was mostly a quick, fluff piece with the reporter hurriedly pushing a customer into saying it was "too expensive", even for the $499 HD DVD player, which, was really sort of ridiculous, since Channel 4's reporter was standing outside a Circuit City, who could care less about HD DVDs to begin with as they don't sell them.

Thank you, Channel 4, for sending out a reporter on such a topic who was clueless about the technology (again, like FOX6 was).
With reporting like this, high def DVDs will take longer to take off...if anyone was watching this "report". :D
