Samsung HP-S5053 50" Plasma

Anyone familiar with this TV? I think I've just about decided on this one for the lunchroom/breakroom/training room at work. Can pick it up for right about $3k.

I've found a couple good reviews on line, but it you know of any others, I'd appreciate a link.

I see that. I'll have to do some comparisons. I know the Samsung picture was pretty impressive.

I just bought this tv for 2,400 from Plasmabay.com  Delivery took about 10 days, and got a 5 year extended warranty for 200 bucks..pretty decent deal. Anyway, I'm quite happy with the TV. You'd benefit from having a surround sound setup as the speakers aren't the greatest, but the picture is the best I've seen for anything under 3.5K and in the 50" variety... Highly recommended

I have heard this tv has had reports of a loud buzzing sound emanating from it. There is an extensive thread on avsforums devoted to it.

I'd just check it out thoroughly before deciding to buy. Great looking set though.

Hmmm.. mine doesn't buzz at all. Again, it's a nice set, go for it..
