What kind of computer monitor cable do I need to hook my compter up to my HDTV?  I've seen monitor cables at stores that would fit the input, but they all said "for SVGA monitors under 19in".  My HDTV is 1920x1080 and has a 40in screen.  Are cables available that will work with this and where would I get one?

What kind of outputs does your computer have?  It should have a standard VGA, but maybe it has DVI or s-video.  If your tv has any of those (DVI > VGA, > s-video) just get the appropriate cable from Worst Buy, Circuit City, or any number of stores online.  Make sure you pay attention to the male/female ends that you need.

It all depends on the input connectors of your HDTV.  Do you have a VGA input and what are the HV scan specs?  Most will only suport up to 1024x768 and that's 4x3 aspect ratio.  Does it have an HDMI or DVI input?  If it does, does the graphics card of your computer have the same?  If you have a card like the ATI All In Wonder HD card then your all set.  If you are using VGA, you will need to keep the cable length down to 6 feet or less, or you will have sever ghosting problems even on cables with double balluns, one at each end.  The size of the monitor does not matter, but the length of cable that does.  It should be a double ballun cable.

My PC has only a VGA out, none of the others.  I'll probably pick up a standard VGA cable cheap and see what happens.  If the picture quality sucks at least I've only spent $10 so I won't feel too bad.
