Hello,

Just wondering if anyone knows of a good OTA ATSC tuner box.  I'm currently trying a Sony SAT-HD200 D* HD Receiver.  It works even though I don't have service through D*, but the component output is not working on it.  Satellite capability is not an issue for me because I'm not going to use it (wish I could, but I only have a northerly view).  I just need something that will let me do OTA digital without complaining that I don't have the satellite service activated, or of course a box without the satellite would work too.

Thanks,
Bryan

That's strange that the component output doesn't work....I do have a 300 for sale  see this thread....http://www.milwaukeehdtv.org/forums/showthread.php?t=6380

Do you know what the difference is between the 200 and 300?

I've never noticed any difference on the operation...they both look the same front and back (I have both).   DVI and RGB outputs and of course component, svideo and composite.

I used to have the 200, and mine worked fine with component out.

I think the difference between the 200 and the 300 is the tuners inside.  The 200 probably has a second generation tuner and the 300 probably has a third generation tuner.  You can most likely verify any differences at AVS forum.
