Finally there is a channel with worse programming than 46.2 aka the "Judge X/Bad Game Show/Cheater's/Bloomberg" network.

The winner is 10.5, the "Eagle sitting in a nest doing and nothing all day" channel.

Shameful Second Place: DTV channels 34, 44, 33, 40, 35, 48( ) , and 25 for having ZERO programming with less than 20 days until 5/1/2002 deadline!!!!

I think I would put the non-digital stations first. With less than three weeks till May 1, I can't even believe that there isn't even testing going on yet. CBS was up and running well before the deadline I saw on TitanTV.
I guess the eagle is supposed to be a learning thing for school children.

What I'd like to do is put a webcam on the "blue hole" or tower farm area of Milwaukee to see when anyone is on one of the towers. To meet the deadline I assume they'll have to put something up on the tower, at least heavy duty rabbit ears. Probably not a bad idea to routinely monitor the empty digital channels to see when and if anything appears.  Could be called dig-watch. Since 6 and 12 consider their digital plans the equivelent of nuclear secrets we could sell this stuff to the highest bidder .

Okay, now I'm feeling a little guilty.

I just turned over to the Eagle Network and thought it was off the air. It turns out they're still broadcasting. If you turn up the audio you can hear, but not see (Why is there no infrared cam?), that the poor guy is getting dumped on by a major rainstorm.

Don't feel sorry for the gal.  She stands about 3 feet tall.  For more info: http://www.baldeagleinfo.com/

Hey as far as the eagle is concerned...  I have to admit that I thought it was a bit of a waste of channel space when I first turned it on, but after watching it for a few minutes, I actually found it relaxing to sit there and stare at the screen with the volume up.  If it were in HD, you would feel like you were really experiencing nature.

I showed my sons (ages 9, 11, and 13), since they have a lot of interest in predatory birds, and they actually thought it was pretty cool.  I left for some errands and came back to find that they had all been watching it for a couple of hours.

I think it will be cool if they still show it once the egg(s) hatch.

I know...it all sounds pretty stupid - but at least I am honest enough to admit it.
