NO SOUND.....
Well didn't anyone test the equipment before the game?  Fools... Nice start I hope you figure it out before the regular season....  That is just a perfect first impression :bang:

JMoran80

i have sound, but no commentary.

Are you honestly complaining you can't hear that fat idiot John Madden? Talk about refreshing... enjoy it while it lasts.

JMoran80

no complaints.....just saying that all the sound effects, the ref, and pretty much everything else comes in except the commentary.

jpfieber

No idiots talking, but every other sound is fine, this is awesome!

I'm not complaining that I can't hear them but it's not a good sign they can't their sound working... ok I gave them 15 minutes and still no commentary sound.. there is background sound although sort of muffled and only 2 channel.  Also is just me or is the picture freezing every few seconds/minutes? Picture quality is fuzzy too.  Overall a "D" for the beginning of NBC HD football presentation. not an F since at least they managed to show an HD feed of the game so far.

Very dissapointing figured NBC had at least a year to figure out their equipment.. and it's not like they couldn't get there a day earlier to test it what other sports is NBC doing in HD...?

Very weird.  The SD broadcast has all of the sound but not HD.  I wouldn't mind just the sounds of the game but somehow the sound for all of the graphics is working.

"Football Night In America".  Indeed.

It took them so much time to fix it, I wonder if they had an inopportune equipment failure. No picture complaints here, although I am watching the digital signal on a 14" SDTV.

hey at least we're moving in the right direction... sound is back.  let's hope all these little quirks get resolved in PreSeason... (would be nice).. I still think the picture is fuzzy tried it on two different tuners it's like some kind of filter/noise reduction or something like that...

Not seeing that here. The picture is awesome.

thanks Todd I'll investigate on my side some more.

Yup, picture quality was just fine here, via TWC. I wasn't closely watching until near the tail end, but the worst that I could say was it was slightly too SHARP actually, causing a little graininess to the image. Definitely not blurry when I was watching.

StarvingForHDTV

Far away shots looked good, but close ups of textured things like a football, or grass seen at a certain distance looked real bad.  Especially when the camera moved a little.  Almost like compression problems.  Overall the picture is decent most of the time.

LoadStar

Wow. You want bad picture quality, watch NBC tonight. The picture during "Psych" was SO bad. The whole thing was HORRIBLY grainy, it almost hurt to watch.

Compared to this, the NFL picture quality was, well, picture perfect.
