Carpet cleaner

Can anyone recommend a carpet cleaner to buy that's reasonably priced and works good? If so, also where you bought it. Thanks.

The wife loves her Bissell carpet shampooer. They're sold all over, I think hers was from Target but I think Best Buy and even Sams Club sells them. If I recall the cost was about $150 and well worth it because she cleans the carpet more frequently than when we had to rent a cleaner and it paid for itself after about the 4th time and it's still going strong.
