I know for a fact that "The Tube" is going to air on 24 hours a day 7 days a week on WCGV-DT 24.2, and sometime this summer.  How do you know it is to start THIS Thursday?

I found out about it being on 24.2 by asking Jimboy in a private email since he works there.

Next question:  Some TV stations in other parts of the country are starting to new slogans like "My-TV"  or "The new CW".  I am wondering when channel 18 will be promoting itself as "The new CW 18"  and channel 24 to promote themselves as "My 24"?

After I wrote this message I tuned to Channel 18.1 and at 6:42pm they were running a promo for "The CW" network.  After a few ads came the show "Reba" in HD on WVTV.

WCGV is running commercials announcing the new music channel will launch on Thursday.

The Sinclair station here just added it. It is very much like how MTV was in the 80's, lots of rock and pop, no hip hop.

They show not only videos but concert footage as well. Saw a Bonnie Rait concert from 75 and the Eagles "Hell has Froze Over" tour to name a few.

Yes The Tube starts tomorrow (thursday 6-15) on 24-2.
I believe the mix of music is 60% older tunes and 40% new stuff.
The guys in master control have been watching it for about 2 months now.

Has anyone been able to tune in 24.2 yet?  I did a scan, but by receiver didn't pick it up.

Yeah I got it after a rescan.

I got it when it went on the air at 8:00 this morning.

I got it no rescan needed just tuned to 24 and up ticked one channel up there it is.

I know the video quality of the material (being older) is not the best, but the broadcast quality really look's poor IMO.

It's not worth it.  The satellite feed off of G-10R isn't any better.  If of coarse that is where WCGV is getting it from.

But do keep the multicast with Tube on it.  I used to swing the dish over there to watch the Tube on occassion. :rock:   Now I can keep the dish pointed else where.
