5/17: FOX 6 HDTV Segment on 9:00 PM News

I saw a Katrina Cravy promo for segment she's doing on high definition tomorrow night.  She'll be talking about HD-DVD and BlueRay, plus HD radio.

I'm curious to see how accurate and/or biased it is.

I wonder if this is the one where milwaukeehdtv.org's resident pirate, Paul S, will be interviewed.  He mentioned something about doing an interview when I saw him at a bar almost 2 weeks ago...maybe it takes them that long to edit down the interviews and come up with their story.  Paul, care to share what you know?

Just couldn't keep laughing (and in shock at the same time) when that happened with the past HT segments.

Well, that wasn't really very much of a story and it was lacking in focus.  

I'm not sure who this was aimed at.  It was probably over the heads of non-HD techies.  How many average viewers even understand that DVDs aren't already HD?  Why show an Xbox 360, but not even mention it in the story?  They mention the PS3 playing BD titles, but not that the Xbox is soon to have an HD DVD add-on.

About the only thing they did focus on was expense.

Worst of all, they didn't point viewers to this forum.

For those of you that missed it, you didn't miss anything (except for seeing our forum's Paul S.)

Fox sucks- I told them about the whole Xbox vs PS3 deal (as memntioned above) and they used nothing of it. they were here for over an hour and I gave them sooo much good siht and thats what they put up? Baaad taste, FOX!

I meant to make a warning thread, but between the driveway construction and working second shift, I completely forgot.


It just sucks that I gave them so much great information and they take the worst of it to show.  :bang:  :mad:  :confused:

I knew they would make a "quickie clip" for their programming since I have friends in the business
(no, not at FOX) and that is how they "do" things. :rolleyes:

As for you, it probably wasn't your best moments, but you have a certain "on-screen presence" and it showed!  
Now, I don't think the "local celebs" have to worry about you replacing them anytime soon, but I liked you on screen and watched it (DVR'd it) a couple of times.
They hid your basement for the most part and those dogs figures of yours as its seemed as though you were in the dark, FOX not even showing your equipment or now-functioning (?) SXRD...seemed sort of odd, at least to me.
It  was bad not showing off your other HD equipment.
Understand, it was all about FOX doing a "segment" on the high def discs with some HD Radio thrown in, nothing more.

When they are ready to show HD equipment ownership and with it, really discuss more than just high def discs, I'm ready for the next interview-without the goofy faces they made you do.

Its embarassing, man. Had I known the camera was on, I never wouldve done it. They made an ass out of me and I dont like that.

I guess it's different when it's not you on TV looking like a jag. I just got an email that their sister station in Dallas is taking the story. Wonderful lol
