I miss the weather maps on 10-4, 5 and 6. Any chance they could make a comeback?

It's Yellow and Green over Milwaukee right now and the Berenstein Bears are in the center square.  :D

They probably don't even know they're missing and don't care either way.

You would think that the stations would buy a little digital TV set to watch their own station, in their own facility.  They could have someone turn it on every once in a while and make sure they are actually putting out what they intended.  That would be a small investment and very simple to do.  Too bad.........

You would like to think that if there's enough bandwidth for all those live PiP's in those little squares.  There ought to be enough for a 5 fifth full time multi cast with the NASA channel on it....  Dooh....  Earth to TAZ.. Earth to TAZ...   Come in TAZ...

Hey guys,

Hold on...it would be great to have the maps back; as I said, I do miss them. But if they are doing it to give more bandwidth to the other subs, or is down for maintenance or a retool, I understand. Let's give them the benefit of the doubt here.

I'm a student at MPTV and asked one of the engineers about the weather channel.  He told me that the weater computer is down and bieng repaired. Don't worry it should be back on soon, but in the mean time don't stop watching MPTV.

In response to your post, Everybody on the higher end of control has a High Def TV in their office. Not to mention the HDTV in the Lobby of the station. Please check your facts before you blast someone about stuff you don't know.

I apologize for my incorrect statement.  There were problems with MPTV's digital signal in the past, that were not corrected until they were mentioned in this forum.  That is what lead me to believe that nobody was watching at the station.  The last problem I recall was an audio synch issue on 36-1.  Perhaps these HDTVs do not send out the audio at the station.  Or perhaps they are relatively new.  Either way, it is difficult for an outsider to know exactly what equipment exists at any station.
