I first noticed it with last week's Smallville, and now there's still the problem with Gilmore Girls tonight. It's not major, but the sound is out of sync just enough to be annoying. Maybe my receiver has a slow decoder? Although I don't notice the issue on any other of the locals. I dunno.

The premire of Pepper Dennis had some audio sync issues as well.

Here I thought it was just my system...

Has it always been a problem? Because no parameters that would affect that have been changed - for a long time.

How does non-HD programming look?

I've just noticed it last night. Last week's Everwood was fine along with Bedford Diaries and Monday's Everwood had no issues. BTW, I miss Just Legal. :(

SD daytime programming doesn't seem to be out of sync. (Although there's only so much Jerry Springer one can stand, just to check for audio sync.)

I called WB and they indicated they were not having any problems (that they are aware of).

Our path was setup for the network first. The local upconvert was then adjusted to match, so if the HD encoder goofs up you will see the problem with the network & the local feed. For the most part it all passes through the same equipment.

I'll take a look tonight at home.

Thanks for looking into this.

Sound is definitely out of sync during tonight's Smallville. :(

There was a quick audio drop during the first batch of commercials, and no errors reported by TSReader... now the sync is even worse. I think the audio is ahead of the video.

I don't think it's off quite enough to notice it if you're using the built-in sound of your television... but if you're using Dolby Digital thru a receiver it's quite noticeable.

I'm using DD through my receiver.. I guess I noticed it a little at times... but not enough to bother me.

It REALLY bugged me towards mostly the beginning & middle of the show.

I half retract my comments... watching the recording on my PC, it's totally in sync. What could be causing this? I could swear I never noticed it this much before, and I always watched using my DD receiver. Audio stream incompatibilities perhaps? Or maybe I'm just going nuts?

I haven't noticed anything out of synch, and I'm pretty sensitive to these types of problems.

I have noticed that WB 18's evening news program has ceased to exist.  I will never forget the newscast where Tami Hughes lost it and couldn't stop her uncontrollable laughing.  That was priceless!  I wish I had that on DVD.
