I haven't watched any of my OTA recordings lately, so it may or may not apply to OTA also.  The past couple of days I've been noticing small annoying audio/video breakups during both SD and HD content.  I first noticed it on the daybreak news a couple days ago.  I saw it on the 10 news last night, Leno, and now it's happening during Earl.  Anyone else notice this?

I'm seeing it live on 504 this evening during ER. I was just watching HDNet, and no hiccups at all, so I don't think it's a cabling issue on my end (besides, I haven't really changed anything on my end recently.)

I'm trying to watch Penn and Teller on Showtime (on TWC), and the repeated audio drop outs are REALLY irritating.. may not just be 504...

I noticed a lot of audio dropouts during the OTA broadcast of The Office tonight.  Very annoying.

Yes, I have short audio drops OTA too. I was thinking it is related to that another weather waste 4-2.

This really worries me.  My fear was that 4-2 was going to fubar 4-1.  It is coming true.   :bang:

I watched Earl, Office, some of ER, and now Conan.  ALL of them had/have annoying dropouts.  WTF!?!  I keep checking my signal strength and it never drops below 93%, so it's not snow related.  (My antenna is in the attic.)

This is very, very bad.
Going through CRT withdrawal.  Patiently waiting for OLED.

Due to the nature of the 8VSB signal strength is only a very small part of the equation.  SNR (signal to noise ratio) along with multipath are the real key issues.

You could have great signal strength but with your antenna in the attic it becomes
very unstable and is extremely susceptable to phase shifts and multipath issues and high ambient noise.

These could very well be some of your intermittent dropouts.  Only a well designed
test meter can find these problems.

Thats not to say TMJ4 has never had problems ;)

TWC actually has a 104 duplicate on 574. So, they are doubling the pleasure.

I'm kind of glad other people had the same problem. I thought my HD-DVR was starting to crap out on me.  Very annoying.

mhz40

It is being investigated.  Seems to have started only a day or two ago and only happens every 10 or 20 minutes...
Any issues with other HD content is unrelated.

I'm only 6 miles north of Capitol Drive, with an outdoor antenna and line of sight, and I had annoying glitches and audio drops on Leno last night too, OTA.  I almost had to switch to SD because my wife was complaining!  I think the frequency was more like every one to two minutes.  It sure cut up the monologue jokes!
