Is anyone at WITI monitoring the HD broadcast this evening???

It's been SD most of the evening, with several drops to color bar and tone (they're at color bar right now at 8:04 p.m.)

While there might be a problem with the HD feed from FOX, I don't know, that doesn't excuse WITI engineers from not noticing and dropping to the SD feed until it's operational again!

Edit: still at color bar/tone at 8:10!

Just caught it here 3 minutes into House. What a crock. Thank goodness for DTV's Fox HD East feed.

Uh-oh...  Just started watching a DVR'ed American Idol... already in SD. Is it gonna switch to bars and tones by the end?

The one disadvantage of watching stuff time-shifted... when the HD tanks, you can't switch to the analog channel...  ya just gotta curse.  :bang:

Well, if it's just a local issue, I'm going to be pirating tonight's episode of House so I can watch an HD version. Nice job Fox!

Yeah, it was a local WITI problem. I switched to WFLD (Chicago) and everything was just fine in HD. The problem for me was that I usually watch shows off the DVR 15 min. after they start (in order to skip commercials). So I missed the beginning of House.

Yeah.. I got the bars with about 5 minutes left in the show for about 5 seconds. But the show came back. The Bars must have come back right at the beginning of House.
