Best mode to view still photos in KDSR50XBRI

I just purchased a 50" Sony Grand Wega SXRD Rear Projection HDTVKDSR50XBRI.  I would like to get an expert openion on what is the highest resolution mode to view still pictures?  As per the manual the VGA input is only going to give me 640X480 resolution.  I am not sure about the memory card and DVI/HDMI input.  I usually shoot 6 Megapixel shots from my Digital SLR and want to use the big  screen to view them.
