After reading the reception coverage thread, I'm curious, how many channels are people receiving around Wisconsin.

Here's a list of channels I receive with a rooftop antenna and rotor.

Receive exactly the same with the addition of 14-1  from greenbay occasionally
and 52.1 from mayville.  Also 30.1 from milwaukee.

Most of my signal strengths are in the mid 80's - mid 90's with the exception
of the above listed channels (usually in the 30's).

In Menomonee Falls with rabbit ears.. 4, 6, 10, 12, 18, 24, 36, 55, 58, and all of the subchannels associated with those channels.  18 and 24 are the hardest to get, and require me to move the antenna frequently to get them.

Anyone have any luck with or ideas on how well an indoor (rabbit ears) antenna would work from Kenosha?   We're in an apartment now (2nd floor of two story) so outdoor antenna is out of the question.    What are the chances of getting any Milwaukee stations, and also the odds with Chicago channels?   I'm guessing Chicago stations have a higher radius and stronger output, but I'm probably another 15-20 miles further from the Chicago towers.

Wow,  I get about half of those... but I am in Oconomowoc.  I am using a rooftop antenna on my apartment complex.  Whats on all of those channels?

I still don't understand how I can't pick up any of the Ch10 digital stations, but the analog comes in fine.

I do get Fox 47-1 out of Madison though :)

Interference on digital 10 which is actually analog ch 8.
Poor antenna performance (what type of antenna, amp, wire etc..)
More info needed to try to help.

From Muskego with CM4228 + Menards brand combo in the attic:
Milwaukee: 4, 6, 10, 12, 18, 24, 30, 36, 55, 58 with subchannels.
Chicago: 5(NBC, 80%), 7(ABC, 40%), 9(WGN, 80%), 32(FOX, 100%), 50(UPN, 100%). Also 811 receiver sometimes get 44, 66(Spanish) from Chicago. 942 receiver never gets them.
If I swing 4228 towards Madison I am sure I will get something, but I prefer Chicago.

I get everything larsob listed with the exception of the 52's.  Where is that signal coming from?  I also get 13-1, 13-2 and 17-1 out of Grand Rapids Michigan. My antenna setup is an old Radio Shack (I'm guessing 10 years old or so) and the best amp/preamp RS was selling at the time.

I know Mayville is out there but come to think of it I don't think I ever aimed the antenna in that direction when I did a scan.  Aren't they kind of weak and located in the valley south of Fond du Lac?

Hi John,

If there is ANY way you could maybe use a Channelmaster 4221 4-bay UHF
antenna and hide it somewhere with an amplifier, you have a shot at both.
Otherwise, you have an excellent shot at only picking up the strongest from Milwaukee, such as WTMJ, WISN and WMVS. I suggest getting that or the amplified rabbit ears and give 'er a whirl if it has a money-back guarantee. You never know, that 2nd floor might just do the trick for at least Milwaukee.
