if you go to WWW.projectorexpert.com  and go to the section on various types of testing done on UHF, VHF and a combo of the two, you'll see some pretty interesting results! Depending on where you live around the Milwaukee metro area, this could help in the quest for very inexpensive, but effective reception woes. Right now, I'm trying to track down a Radio Shack store that still has the Model RS 15-1862, which "kicked bowtie" in the tests.
If anyone comes across this particular beast, please post your experience on this forum. Thanks for the help from all of you!

Too bad they didn't test the Double Bowtie... I'd be curious to see how it stacks up against the RS 15-1862.

I've got an interesting one...with my HiDTV card came a patch antenna, a little bigger than a mouse pad (actually could use it as a mouse pad).  Tried it in the media room and didn't work too well as the house has aluminum siding, so I just took a splitter and split my antenna to feed the card...works great.  But I took the patch antenna and hooked it up to the TV in the Kitchen (Stone walls down there) because I just don't have antenna cable there and the little sucker does an amazing job...almost perfect reception on all the major channels.
