Poor DirecTV signal after storm

So the snowstorm came and went last Thursday with no real signal issues.  But the days following, some channels were fine, some were pixilating and some did not come in at all.  I checked outside and my protective dish cover was perfectly clear.  Sunday, when the temperatures finally got out of the single digits, I went up on the roof to check if some pointing adjustments were necessary.  I couldn't help but notice the dish cover was hanging a little low.  And when I felt it, it had the consistency of a beanbag.  It was at least a third full of snow.  And once removed, the face of the dish was encrusted with a least an inch of ice and snow.  I scraped off the dish and signals were back to normal.  The high winds and extremely heavy snow up here must have found its way into a little opening where you cinch the cover closed at the back of the dish.  I'm going to leave it off for a while and see if the dish performs better without it.  I've often wondered if it really does any good.

I'm curious to see your protective cover. Can you post a picture?
