I have the cheapest Dish Network package.........no FSN.

Quote from: JimboyWhat happens to the station that doesn't get CW?  They need to fill 2 hours each evening with alternate programming.    Movie?
Is there anything on the horizon that you know of that would lead to syndicated HD movie content?  As long as both stations have the equipment now, there could a nice niche spot for that kind of alternative programming.

I know that delivery is a big issue, but there are things being worked on that could eliminate the problem.  I was wondering if you've heard anything solid about possibilities.

Thanks,

Scott

Nothing on the immediate horizon but that doesn't mean it won't happen.
As more and more syndicated content becomes available in HD and the means to distribute it, eventually the switch will happen.

What is the final result of the 2nd round channel elections for ch 18 & 24 Jimboy.

Quote from: gparrisThen again, you won't have to worry about HDTV on WB or UPN, soon, or the battle of getting it on TWC, either. :D

Those of you that have TWC............Does their HD receiver include a feed for OTA?.........If so, why not get a roof top antenna?

So they are not very user friendly?

The cable companies don't want you getting your signals off the air, you'll find you can get a better picture with uncompressed hd signal that way and you won't be happy.  The only reason the sat companies had ATSC receivers in their boxes is that they didn't have space to put all those signals on with MPEG2 and their birds, so it was an easy way to give it to you.  Plus you already had a dish so people couldn't complain the antenna was ugly, which is often why some opt for cable.  I have the best of all worlds.  I have 2 Directv boxes (currently inactive) that I use for over the air tuners (none of my sets have ATSC tuners) and almost always watch network tv via those.  However nowadays all current production over 25" have an ATSC receiver built in (unless they are a monitor with no receivers), so I'm sure as I replace my 2 main TV's in the future I'll get rid of or relocated the Sony satellite boxes.

24-1 remains on channel 25.
18-1 moves from channel 61 to 18 when the analog cutoff happens.

The original plan was to use channels 24 & 25 but channel 24 was denied due to digital interference to other markets.

Is 24 still at low power? I'm in New Berlin, and I'm able to get 18 to some level of success, but 24 is still a no-show here.

Yes, I am also having trouble holding the signal. I think its a matter of tweaking the antenna..............

TW does not have a converter with an 8VSB tuner, but the Pace HD from TW has component and composite loop through.  I have this box installed along with a DirectTV receiver to pick up the digital signals not carried local on cable.  I've also had good luck receiving a number of Chicago stations with an attic antenna.  This has been a bit surprising, as I'm on the south side of Greendale.
