Last week my wife and I purchased a new minivan. It has a built in DVD player 16x9 screen and wireless headphones. It works great. It has aux inputs for the kids gamming machings. They love it. Today I put my samsung terrestrial receiver in the car and hooked it up. I had to set the receiver to 480i because i'm using RCA jacks. I turned it on and holy cow. The picture was great. It actualy had the 16x9 format. It was not HD but it was the HD full picture format. With the receivers remote I could change the screen size durning the comercials of the game because I don't like side bars. Here's the problem. When I am driving in a straight line it works fine but when I make a turn I get drop outs until Im driving straight again. It dosent make a difference wich direction I go. The antena i'm using is off an old sony receiver. I was just kind of in a hurry to make it work. Is there any kind of roof mount UHF antenna I can buy?

LOL... and I thought I was excessive for running a cable thru the crawlspace from the antenna in my room to my mom's OTA receiver in her room. No offense, but wow.

I hope you have good car insurance!  I thought it was bad driving around with all of these people yapping on their phones.  Now I have to look out for people watching TV while they are driving......

But, yeah.  I know they make roof mount TV antennas for RVs and stuff.

On Friday I got FusionHDTV5 Gold USB palm-size HDTV tuner from shop4tech.com ($143 after 10% rebate which can be found on the web). This thing is just amazing. I can connect it to my 17" widescreen HP laptop and watch HDTV OTA practically anyware. I will not watch while driving :) .
It scanned all Milwaukee OTA with basic included antenna and I am 25 miles from towers. :) .
Dvico software is not so good yet, but it works with Windows Media Center XP too. It will allow not only timeshift HD but convert it to Mpeg4 HD and then burn to the DVD.
Very nice device. Thanks, Santa :D

When I read this, it sure sounded like you were driving while watching TV.
