Wasn't Frosty supposed to be in HD on CBS?

I thought the Frosty the Snowman special was supposed to be in HD on CBS.  I was hoping for my kids' sake that they could enjoy it in high definition.  Very disappointing.  Not sure if it is the fault of CBS 58 or the network?

I switched back and forth between 505 and 5 on Time Warner, and there is definitely a difference in pQ... The original was done in 4:3 in 1969, so maybe although the image is 4:3, they did it in HD, but presented it in its OAR. Not sure..

Betcha Jim Hall knows!  ;)

Ah, maybe you're right.  I didn't think a 4:3 aspect program was defined as HD.  Oh well.

They showed this a couple of weeks back. It's 16x9 if you include the sidebars. Same as Bambi. Aspect ratio maintained while bringing HD quality. Aside for the silly logo placement half on/off the picture, great job by CBS.
