Harmony Remote Power Order

I have the Harmony 680 remote and for the TV button I have it set to turn the TV, 8300HD and my 5.1 system on.  The first thing it powers is the 8300HD, followed by the TV and receiver.  Because the cable box is the first thing turned on, I get an HDCP error when I first see a picture on the screen saying that my TV doesn't support it.  I have to press power to get the 8300 on and displaying content.  I was wondering if there's any way to change the order in which the remote powers things up?  I've searched through probably all of the options in the remote setup and can't find anything that allows me to change power order.  If the 8300 is the last thing powered on, I won't get the HDCP error.

Tricky part is, half the time you might not even need to power on the 8300HD. At least not in my case... half the time when I turn my tv on, the DVR automatically detects it and powers on. And then out of those auto power-ons, half the time it recognizes the hdtv, half the time I get the error and have to hit power again. It's a toss-up IMO.

Well I've got the Harmony 880 so this may or may not apply to your situation.  I program the entire remote on harmony's website, then upload it to my remote.  You should be able change the powerup order directly on the website.  Also the 8300 is a DVR correct?  You may want to just have this on continually like I do with my TIVO.  There is an option to keep the device on all the time.  I'm not sure exactly where these changes are on the website, but it might be something to look into.

Yeah I do the same.. program and upload via the web.  It shows me the order which they power up, but it doesn't let me change it (at least nowhere I can see).

If I leave the power on the 8300 and turn the TV off, the box goes into a standby mode I guess but the power light stays on.  If I turn the TV back on I get the error, so leaving the box on doesn't work for me.  I'd use component out on the box (which would get rid of this problem), but my TV gets interference/noise in the picture when using TWC boxes on component inputs.

It was the box that was causing it to happen.  I picked up a new one today.. the HDMI handshake is much better and faster, and the box doesn't give me any message saying my TV doesn't support HDCP.

If you do this, the box will stay tuned to a channel, or in the case if using HDMI, it will go into a standby mode sometimes. But if it stays on, and you've got 2 programs set to record at the same time, it's not gonna start the recording 30 sec early... since the box will be tuned to a channel and it's gonna be giving the 60 second countdown to nobody before it changes channels.
