Anyone know how much an additional non-dvr hd box will set me back from TWC?  I have an 8300HD, but would like to add another box in the basement.

Also, which box is recommended these days?  (non-dvr hd of course)

Thx,

Dan

Any box...digital SD or Digital HD (non-DVR) is 7.95 per month (this includes the remote at that price).

Here in GBay TWC offers the non DVR STB model SA-3250-HD.

It has functioned well with DVI video out for just short of 2 years..

THe optical DD 5.1 audio out works fine too....

I also can run S-Video out too if I wish.....    Same for Component..

Component & DVI out will NOT work at the same time..

3250 can be programmed in DVI mode for: 1080i, 720p, 480p wide,

480p, 480i wide, &/or 480i depending on your HDTV set capability.

My 3250 has no HDMI video out.

Thanks for the replies.  I would be using component only and my tv's built-in speakers.

I also would not need the remote.  Would the 8300HD's remote work for most other Scientific Atlantic receivers?  I have an MX-500 universal that I could program.

$7.95 is probably more than I am willing to spend for occational viewing in the basement.

My 8300 remote works with my non DVR SA box that i have in the bedroom. Without the remote the box would cost you $7.65 a month.
