I haven't seen it myself, but from what I've understood, the ads will be like a sidebar but no more intrusive than the ads already seen in Google searches or in Gmail... and they will be higly targeted, as to what sites you're looking at, or what location you're browsing from. (You might see an ad for a restaurant down the street, for example.) Doesn't sound so bad to me, and if they're looking to cover entire cities with this, that can only be a good thing, as far as I can see.
