Now all they need to do is invest in some decent writers...

Tom Snyder

Not sure if it's just a writer problem.... 30 years from now, how many will remember the names of the entire cast... like we do Bill Murray, John Belushi, Dan Aykroyd, Larraine Newman, Gilda Radner, Jane Curtin and Garrett Morris?

I can hardly remember ANY of the cast members from LAST season. ;)

I think its now WSNL or Women's Saturday Night Live....all last year it seemed like every sketch was written by Tina Fey for her buddy Amy Poehler....and it got boring and bad in a hurry IMHO....

But good to see another mainstream show go HD.....still waiting for Survivor HD...

Larraine who??  Garret who???

But seriously, you forgot all about Chevy Chase ;)

From what I understand, their late late show "Last Call With Carson Daly" is shot in the same studio as SNL, so therefore that show should be moving to HD as well (please correct me if I am wrong about this)..

EDIT:  Okay I will correct myself...  It appears that Last Call With Carson Daly is taped in Los Angeles now instead of New York...   Just in time for that studio upgrade...  /shrug

This completes NBCs conversion of all their late nite programming (well, except for Last Call) to High Definition...    I don't think any other network or cable/sat channel (besides those HD only channels) even comes close...

Kudos to NBC for having the foresight to prepare for the future...  Lets see how difficult it will be for the other networks to play 'catch up' as NBC steals audiences as more and more of the nation upgrades their televisions to HD...

I've got to get one of those HD Tivos. I can't stay up that late anymore.  ;)
