First I find out that the Badger/Michigan game is carried on ESPN2-HD, which is disappointing because TWC doesnt have ESPN2-HD

To add insult to injury the damn ESPN2 channel on TWC is broadcasting an annoying HISS along with the game in crappy SD...

Does anyone else get this hiss??  or is  it just me??

25 minutes or so into the game, and the HISS is still there...  Even during the commercials

About 2 seconds after I posted, the HISS was fixed.....

I guess they heard my complaint and fixed the problem ;)..

Anyhow,  I suppose its futile wishful thinking that maybe they will broadcast this game on channel 12 or ESPN-HD or something so I can enjoy this game in HD today??

Oh nevermind....  I must be delusional....

The hiss was there before the Badger game started.  I tuned in about 20 min. before kickoff and it was really bad.  I crossed my fingers and hoped it would change with the program.  Then to really frustrate me I tried simulcasting with 620 WTMJ radio and they didn't have the play by play because of a conflict with the Brewers. :bang:   I called WTMJ and they said the broadcast had been moved to 1290 AM.  So I tried that and they had audio problems too!  GRRRR!! I could hear two programs simultaneously, I'm not sure if it was weather related interference or something at the station. :bang:  :bang: Right about then TWC got their act together and fixed the problem.  Did you notice how the whole signal went away for about 10 or 20 seconds when they fixed it?

So yeah, why the heck can't we get ESPN2HD on TWC anyway??  I'd gladly give up FSNHD in a trade.

Seems that the game on ESPN was in SD, while the game on ESPN2 was in HD....  Of course we dont get ESPN2-HD, and we do get ESPN-HD which doesn't really matter because hardly any of the content on ESPN is in HD anyhow...

So whats the story here??  Is ESPN trying to push 2 "HD" channels when really all their HD content adds up to a single HD channel??   Why cant they put the standard definition content on the second channel and reserve the first channel for the HD content, knowing that most of the audience doesnt have the second channel in HD at this time??

Perhaps I am asking too many questions?

FSN-HD is a GREAT channel!!!

Well, its great if you like looking at a grey screen all day long with no audio ;)

Its probably that they already have contracts in place for ESPN.  So now they are pushing HD content to ESPN 2 to encourage cable companies to sign contracts for that channel as well.  In other words, I blame this activity on the greed of ESPN.  Why else would they be pushing premium programming onto their secondary channel.
